MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. His work has led to major international inroads into the Latin pop culture. In 2016, his hit Una Lady Como Tu was the recipient of a Colombian Kids Choice Award for Most Popular Song in the year 2017. He released his debut long-player ADN for the Medellin-based Sony-distributed La Industria Inc. It peaked at number eight on the Top Latin Albums chart. Vaina Loca was one of the Top Five hit for Ozuna as well as him the year following. He also collaborated together with Noriel to record Mala Influencia in the year 2020. He next year, released his sophomore album the chart-topping Dopamina. In 2021, he performed in a duo with TINI on her cult streaming single Maldita Foto. 2000 saw him perform the hit single La Bachata appeared in 2023. Turizo was raised in a household of music both his parents have been musicians. According to him, music was a mandatory element of his existence. Growing up, he taught to play the saxophone, piano as well as guitar. His initial goal was to become a veterinarian his brother Julian encouraged him to enroll in lessons in singing with a Cuban teacher and the end result personally discovering his talent as a musician changed the course of his life.
