Emma
Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson is the daughter of British lawyers Jacqueline Luesby (born in Paris) and Chris Watson (born in Paris). After moving to Oxfordshire around the age of five, she enrolled in The Dragon School. From the age of six Emma knew that she wanted to be an actor and for several years, she was a student at the Oxford branch of Stagecoach Theatre Arts a part-time theatre school in which she was taught performing and singing. It was already her turn to perform in various Stagecoach as well as school plays before she was 10 years old. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2000) was the movie adaptation of J.K. Rowling's bestselling novel was first cast for the first time in 1999. Emma was discovered by agent through an Oxford teacher. David Heyman informed Emma, Daniel Radcliffe, and Rupert Grint of their auditions after eight. They were chosen to play three of the leads Hermione Gringer Harry Potter Ron Weasley. Emma's first appearance in a film was as a part of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone in 2001. It set new records for the opening day sales as well as opening week-end take-offs as well as being the most-grossing feature of the year 2001. The film received praise from critics, as were the performances of its three new stars. The Daily Telegraph, a widely read British newspaper, was awed by her for her outstanding performance. Then Emma was nominated for five awards for her role in the film, winning an award called the Young Artist Award for Leading Young Actress in a Feature Film.
