Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is an Mexican singer and musician born into a musical family. As a child, she was exposed to lots of traditional music as well as old boleros. She also listened to the traditional romance ballads as well as ranchero. Ana is a lover of tangos, opera, and all forms of dramatic performance. Ana began learning to play the piano and sing from an early age, along together with her mom. The formal vocal training at the age of 16 old with the renowned Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. In Guadalajara, she attended the School of Music of University of Guadalajara as well as in Toluca in The School of Sacred Music. In her early career, she saw her perform with many orchestras, chamber ensembles, and opera choirs in Guadalajara. When she moved to the United States, she performed with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Then in 2002, she made her way to Southern California. She has performed solo Latin American music for private events and also as part of Ensemble XXI in Redlands. She is involved with many local projects in both teaching as well as a performer due to her passion for music and arts. Ana is also an ex-member of the Community Chorus of Redlands. The Inland Master Chorale. and the Performance Loft. Ana hopes that through her sharing of Latin American traditional songs, that she can inspire a love, especially among the younger generation, for keeping this music alive.
